David L. Croop
Croop-LaFrance was founded in 1995 by David L. Croop, who had retired as the Chief Information Officer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the Rochester Area. Mr. Croop has worked in the Information Technology field for over 30 years, and has grown Croop-LaFrance to over 120 employees.
Mr. Croop has served on many committees over the years such as: Workforce Investment Board (WIB) 2000-2004, Native American Cultural Center President 1999-2004, Technical Advisory Committee Chairman Help Net, Technical Advisory Group Certificate of Need Requests for New York State Health Department, WXXI Community Advisory Board, and Board Member - Friends of Ganandagon.
James R. Smith
Jim Smith has over twenty years of experience in the IT Services and consulting industry. Prior to joining Croop-LaFrance, Mr. Smith was Vice President for a global professional services firm, Ajilon (formerly JTS Computer Services). Mr. Smith has been very involved in supporting the community by serving on the boards of The Monroe Community College Foundation and Pittsford Little League for the last two years.
John T. Smith
John T. Smith has over 30 years in the Information Technology field. Prior to starting his own Consulting and Contract services firm in 1980 he was the Director-Vice President of the Services Division of an international software development firm. He founded and operated JTS Computer Services in 1980 and grew the firm to over 120 employees before being acquired by Ajilon in 1997. At the same time he started a software development firm focused on integrated hardware and software solutions for the retail industry. Mr. Smith is an active director of the company participating in strategic and financial planning, business direction and high level marketing activities. Mr. Smith has been very involved in supporting the community by serving on the boards of The Monroe Community College Foundation for the past ten years (Chairman), Hillside Children’s Center for 20 years (Chairman) The Rochester Red Cross Blood Services 5 years, Pittsford Little League, RIT Entrepreneurial Advisory Council, and the Rochester Rotary Club
